From small beginnings to the present day, NPS Solovair Shoes are proud of their heritage and how over a century of experience has shaped their outlook, processes and work ethic to make them a great example of British craftsmanship. They’re passionate about sustainability, want to ensure that the needs of today do not have an impact on future generations. All of their leather is sourced from prestigious European tanneries. No leather is wasted in the footwear manufacturing, with all trimmings recycled to create a by-product called leather board which can then be repurposed both within the company and externally to create additional leather based components for footwear or other industries.
Footwear components are sourced close to their factory in the UK or Europe, reducing their carbon footprint and managing supply chain challenges. Being conscious of the environment, they are proactively looking into ecological recycled materials that will improve their sustainability. For example the ÔupperÕ materials for their vegan range of footwear are made from a combination of recycled synthetic material and also plant based biodegradable matter. The materials used are fully compliant to all European (REACH) standards, which are arguably the highest benchmark internationally. All materials within their vegan range are free of any animal derived ingredients, including our adhesives which are Ôwater-basedÕ with natural ingredients, such as latex.
British made footwear is amongst the best quality in the world. By combining over 130 years of traditional craftsmanship and tooling with the latest technology and materials, they will continue to produce the finest quality footwear.
