Bassike was founded on three principles: considered design, responsible business and sustainable manufacturing. From the first collection in 2006, they designed with organic cotton and produced fabric and garments in Australia. Bassike could see local industry was in decline and set out to build a product and a business model that would continue to support manufacturing onshore.
In partnership with trusted suppliers and makers, they work to make each step of every Bassike garment’s journey as green as possible. Constantly asking questions big and small about how to innovate, reinvent industry practice and further reduce impact on our planet.
For Bassike sustainability means treating people and the planet with respect, lightening environmental impact and constantly evaluating their processes. It means producing collections with intention, integrity and longevity in mind. Read more about Bassike’s responsible business here.
